In 2022, Atif Yilmaz arrived in the United States with a fresh start and a strong work ethic. While working at the Grand Canyon National Park, he found more than just a job, he found inspiration. Surrounded by one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, he developed a deep appreciation for nature, detail, and the impact that well-maintained environments can have on people.
In 2024, that inspiration turned into action. Yilmaz Landscaping was born not with a fleet of trucks, but with determination and a hatchback car. With the back seats removed to make space for a lawn mower and tools, Atif drove more than 180 miles back and forth, taking on any job, big or small.
Every lawn mowed, every yard cleaned, and every customer served became a building block. Those early days were defined by persistence, long hours, and a commitment to doing the job right.
As trust grew, so did the business. By the end of 2024, Yilmaz Landscaping expanded with the purchase of a van, marking a new chapter of professionalism and capability. Around the same time, Atif moved to Flagstaff and began working as an engineer at a well respected contracting company, bringing even more technical knowledge and problem-solving skills into his landscaping work.
Today, Yilmaz Landscaping continues to grow through repeat customers and word-of-mouth, proof that quality and care speak louder than advertising.
But this business isn’t just about landscaping. It’s about building relationships, understanding people’s needs, and finding the right solutions for every space. Every project is personal, and every client is treated like a neighbor.
From a single hatchback to a growing operation, Yilmaz Landscaping continues to evolve. Today, the business has expanded to a three-vehicle fleet, equipped with a wide range of professional tools to handle projects of all sizes with efficiency and precision.
With that growth comes a broader, more specialized scope of work, including paver installation, artificial grass installation, full property maintenance and cleanups, tree planting, rockscaping, and irrigation systems.
As the company moves forward, the mission remains the same: to shape outdoor spaces with purpose, craftsmanship, and pride; turning everyday landscapes into lasting impressions.
